CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 9 (UPI) -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton did so much dabbing last season it was easy to lose count of the touchdowns preceding the dance.

Now Newton is looking to replace the celebration, after it took the NFL and its fans by storm.

"I have to put that aside," Newton said in an interview with WFNZ-AM. "I have until September to find out (a new dance)."

Although his Super Bowl 50 loss capped the season with a blemish, Newton's rejuvenation put the NFL back on notice.

In 2015, Newton completed 296-of-496 passes for 3,837 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, while rushing for 636 yards and 10 scores.

Newton was selected as the NFL MVP and was a first-team All-Pro.
