ATLANTA, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Wide receiver tends to a be a position that stresses extremities more than most. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is feeling the aches and pains of an NFL veteran and will have surgery on his right elbow.

White, 33, is in his 11th NFL season. He will have the minor surgery and is expected to heal by opening day, according to coach Dan Quinn.

White also requires "sporadic drainings" of his knee, according to Rotoworld.

White has 10,357 yards, 765 receptions and 62 touchdowns in his career. He has not started 16 games since 2011 and started 14 last season.
