Toronto Raptors guard Malcolm Miller underwent ankle surgery and is expected to be sidelined for 12 weeks, the team announced Tuesday.

Miller signed the team's two-way contract on July 9 after participating in the Raptors' free agent camp.

The 6-foot-7, 210-pound Miller sprained his right ankle in an NBA Summer League practice in Las Vegas on July 5.

Miller averaged 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 18.7 minutes in 29 games last season for Alba Berlin of the German Bundesliga. He averaged 12.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 31.9 minutes in 47 games for the Maine Red Claws of the NBA G League.
