Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Fans followed Dwight Howard as he left the court Monday after being ejected in the Atlanta Hawks' 114-98 win against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

Howard, who received two technical fouls during the game, was walking toward the tunnel when he came upon a group of excited basketball enthusiasts. The fans jumped and screamed for the 8-time All-Star as he took his jersey off to give it to one of them. A girl was looking into his eyes as she imagined receiving the prized garb, but Howard unexpectedly gave it to someone else, turning her wide smile into a shocked expression.
