BOSTON, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Fallout 4's Nov. 10 release date was met with 12 million shipments in one day.

But one YouTube user thought the game need an athletic adjustment.

Richie Branson made a modification and added Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz to the game, which is set in post-apocalyptic Boston. Branson's "Big Papi" wields a nail covered baseball bat that he whacks mutants with.

Branson's mod was available for download, but Major League Baseball was not happy about the use of its "character."

The mod is now "currently under review by a moderator and not open for public access," according to Nexus Mods.

"The use of these marks is an infringement of our rights. We plan to enforce those rights," an MLB spokesman told the Boston Globe.

Branson told the Boston Globe that if the league takes action and asks him to remove the modification, he will comply.

Fallout 4 was released by Bethesda Game Studios on PlayStaion 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

The 12 million copies shipped on launch day represent "sales in excess of $750 million, according to GameSpot.

"Following the release, Bethesda was advised that launch day sales at some of the leading retail chains were the largest of any game released this year," the company told GameSpot. "Bethesda is now shipping more Fallout 4 units to retailers to meet ongoing market demand."
