Kelly had the surgery on Monday to repair a ruptured ligament in the wrist. He will not be able to throw a football for three months.

Kelly suffered the injury during Ole Miss' Pro Day on April 3. He canceled a workout set for April 22 due to the injury.

This month's workouts were considered crucial for Kelly as he aimed to show he is recovering from his second major knee surgery. He also has experienced off-the-field issues and the NFL declined to invite him to the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis due to its conduct policy.

Kelly is rated a seventh-round draft choice by NFLDraftScout.com.

Kelly tore the ACL in his right knee on Nov. 5 to shorten his final college season to nine games. He passed for 2,758 yards and 19 touchdowns against eight interceptions.

In 2015, Kelly threw for 4,042 yards and 31 touchdowns while being intercepted 13 times.

Kelly is the nephew of Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly.
