World No. 1 Angelique Kerber rolled into the final of the WTA Finals in Singapore on Saturday, beating No. 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2, 6-1.

The semifinal win sets up a rematch against No. 7 seed Dominika Cibulkova, who is the only woman to take a set off the German all week.

Slovakia's Cibulkova rallied for a 1-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4 semifinal victory over Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia.

Sunday's final will be the first time Kerber has advanced beyond the round-robin stage of the competition in four trips.

"It's just amazing to be here," said Kerber, who won her first two Grand Slam titles at the Australian and U.S. Open this year. "It's been an incredible 12 months. I've been really working to being focused, to being calm and to being just positive on court, and this is the biggest improvement I've made."

Radwanska, from Poland, was left stunned by all the improvements Kerber has made in her game. The defending champion came out with an aggressive mindset, trying to attack the net and open up the court as quickly as possible in the points, but her finishing let her down.

"Very consistent," Radwanska said when asked how much Kerber had improved since their last meeting at the 2015 China Open. "Not much of the mistakes. Pretty solid and definitely a very good defender. I was trying to come in but the balls were coming back.

"She had an answer for everything. She's not giving anything for free. You really need to win the points by yourself. That's, I think, what makes her one of the best players in the world, and this year the best."

Cibulkova took her debut at the WTA Finals all the way to the championship match.

"I'm just so excited," Cibulkova said. "This is my first time here, playing (the) finals now, and playing such a great match against Sveta. For me, it's one of my dreams come true."

Kerber leads Cibulkova 5-4 in career meetings, including a 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-3 victory in their round-robin meeting.

"It's a little bit weird to play against one opponent twice in one tournament," Kerber said. "This never happened before for me. She has nothing to lose, so I think it will be a good match and final from both of us."
