Indianapolis Colts sign S Lee Hightower

The Indianapolis Colts signed undrafted safety Lee Hightower on Tuesday, the club announced.

Hightower previously participated in the Houston Texans' rookie minicamp on a tryout basis and wasn't signed.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Hightower split his college playing career at Boise State and Houston. He played his first two seasons at Boise State, starting 11 games and intercepting two passes.

He sat out 2013 after transferring before playing his final two seasons at Houston. Hightower started 17 games for the Cougars and had three interceptions.
