Team USA routs China by 50 en route to Rio Olympics

Kevin Durant quickly announced himself to his new home fans Tuesday.

The Warriors forward, playing in Oakland, Calif., for the first time since joining Golden State as a free agent, scored Team USA's first 10 points in a 107-57 win over China.

The game was the U.S. team's third in a pre-Olympics tour. Team USA routed Argentina by 37 points on Friday in Las Vegas before downing China by 48 points on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins led Team USA with 21 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday. The New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points, 16 of them in the third quarter. Warriors guard Klay Thompson recorded 15 points and a team-high five assists.

Durant finished with 13 points.

Zhou Qi led China with 13 points.

Next up for Team USA are games against Venezuela in Chicago on Friday and Nigeria in Houston on Monday. The squad then will travel to Brazil for the Olympics.
