Cleveland Indians right-hander Corey Kluber was named to the American League All-Star roster on Thursday as an injury replacement for Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marco Estrada.

Estrada was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, and manager Ned Yost selected Kluber over Chicago White Sox left-hander Jose Quintana.

Kluber was not selected to the All-Star team the past two seasons, when Indians manager Terry Francona said he was more than deserving.

The 2014 American League Cy Young winner is in his sixth Major League season, Kluber is currently 8-8 with a 3.79 ERA, striking out 114 batters in his 114.0 innings of work.

Kluber joins teammates Danny Salazar and Francisco Lindor in representing the AL Central-leading Indians on the AL All-Star roster.
