The Houston Rockets reached agreement on a four-year, $80 million deal with forward Ryan Anderson on Saturday, according to multiple published reports.

Anderson, 28, averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 66 games for the New Orleans Pelicans last season. He has career marks of 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in eight NBA seasons.

Anderson was primarily used off the bench by New Orleans, starting just 48 games in four seasons with the team. He has also played for the Orlando Magic (three seasons) and spent his rookie season with the then-New Jersey Nets.

He is a career 37.7 percent 3-point shooter and the Rockets were looking for such a player to help open up floor space for star guard James Harden.

Anderson missed 60 games in 2013-14 after a collision prompted surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck.
