The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski to a one-year contract on Monday.
Gradkowski will compete with fourth-year veteran Landry Jones for the No. 2 spot behind Ben Roethlisberger.

The 33-year-old Gradkowski is entering his 11th NFL season and his fourth with Pittsburgh after he signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2013. He missed the entire 2015 season on the Steelers' injured reserve list due to a finger injury.
Gradkowski has not started an NFL game since 2010 and has not thrown a regular-season pass since 2012.
Gradkowski has played in 37 career games with 20 starts during the regular season, and he also has played in one postseason contest. He has thrown for 4,057 yards with 21 touchdowns in his regular-season career.
