Veteran kicker Josh Scobee announced on Facebook on Friday that he has signed with the New Orleans Saints.

Assuming Scobee wins the job as the Saints kicker, he would be the 11th kicker used by New Orleans in 11 years under coach Sean Payton.

Scobee was cut after playing four games for the Steelers last season. He made just six of 10 field-goal attempts in 2015.

He told Jacksonville.com he had injured his quad and hip flexor before that Ravens game, when he missed two field-goal attempts and was later released.
