Former WR Josh Morgan accidentally shoots himself

Former NFL wide receiver Josh Morgan reportedly shot himself in the leg recently while cleaning a gun.

The gun accidently discharged while Morgan was handling it on Jan. 31 in his home in Leesburg, Va.

Morgan, 30, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby accident.

Earlier this week, Morgan was charged with misdemeanor reckless use of a firearm. He is due in court on March 9.

Morgan played with the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears during his NFL career (2008-14). He caught 209 career passes for 2,558 and 12 touchdowns.
