Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase is a hot commodity.

The Philadelphia Eagles confirmed Tuesday that they interviewed Gase for their vacant head coaching position, and he is likely to speak with other teams about moving up to a head job.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins also asked the Bears for permission to speak with Gase. The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted that the New York Giants requested permission to talk with Gase, too.

During his one season in Chicago, Gase drew praise for turning the fortunes of enigmatic quarterback Jay Cutler.

From 2009-14, Gase was on the Denver Broncos' staff, spending two years as wide receivers coach, two years as quarterbacks coach and 2013 and 2014 as the offensive coordinator.

His previous coaching experience includes stints with LSU (under Nick Saban) and the Detroit Lions.

Gase, 37, reportedly turned down the San Francisco 49ers' head coaching job last winter when he refused the team's insistence that Jim Tomsula be his defensive coordinator. Tomsula wound up getting the job, and was fired Sunday after a 5-11 season.
