NY Mets move past Detroit in Game Two

Andrew Brown singled home Anthony Seratelli with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the New York Mets over the Detroit Tigers, 5-4, in Grapefruit League action at Tradition Field.

Andrew Brown singled home Anthony Seratelli with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the New York Mets over the Detroit Tigers, 5-4, in Grapefruit League action at Tradition Field.

Seratelli, pinch-running for Omar Quintanilla, stole second and moved to third on a throwing error by catcher Bryan Holaday on the play. Brown then followed with his game-winning hit.

Eric Campbell ended 2-for-4 with a homer for the Mets.

Daisuke Matsuzaka, battling John Lannan for the fifth starting spot, started for New York and allowed four runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking one, in five innings.

Miguel Cabrera and Tyler Collins each homered for the Tigers. Both players have three homers this spring.

Detroit's Kyle Lobstein got the start and yielded one run on one hit in 2 2/3 innings of work. The lefty struck out two and walked two.
