DENVER, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce scored 18 points and the Brooklyn Nets led wire-to-wire Thursday in their 112-89 road win over the Denver Nuggets.
Pierce hit 7-of-12 shots from the field and also grabbed six rebounds in the win, which got Brooklyn back on track after a 44-point loss to Portland on Wednesday.

Marcus Thornton, Joe Johnson and Mason Plumlee scored 10 points apiece for the Nets.
Randy Foye led the Nuggets with 15 points. Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson both had 14 as Denver lost for the eighth time in nine starts.
The first quarter set the tone of the game, ending with Brooklyn leading their hosts 29-8.
