NHL: Winnipeg 3, Edmonton 2 (OT)

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Jacob Trouba's second goal of the game came 1:10 into overtime Saturday and lifted the Winnipeg Jets over Edmonton 3-2.

The winning score came after Blake Wheeler missed on a breakaway but regained control of the puck in the corner. He sent a pass to the crease, where Trouba shook off defender Anton Belov and put it past Ilya Bryzgalov for the game-winner.

Wheeler finished with two assists and Mark Scheifele scored for the Jets, who recorded their third straight win under new head Coach Paul Maurice.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 20 shots.

David Perron and Jordan Eberle scored for the Oilers, who fell for the fourth consecutive game. Bryzgalov made 36 saves.
