PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 36 points Wednesday and Nicolas Batum had a triple double to send Portland storming past Orlando 110-94.
The Trail Blazers outscored the Magic by 20 points in the fourth quarter to avoid what would have been their first three-game losing streak of the season. Portland improved its home record to 14-4.
Aldridge made 16-of-25 shots and scored 36 points, two short of his season's best. Batum had 14 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds for his second triple-double of the campaign.
Wesley Matthews added 17 points for Portland Damian Lillard had 11 after delivering a career-high 41 in his previous appearance.
Orlando, which has lost five in a row and has only 10 wins all season, was led by 22 points from Arron Afflalo.
