ATLANTA, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Kyle Korver led five players in double figures Wednesday and Atlanta jumped on Indiana early en route to a 97-87 victory over the Pacers.
The Hawks took advantage of Indiana's recently relentless schedule, one that saw the Pacers playing for the fourth time in five nights.
Indiana won the first three games in that stretch, but after traveling from Indianapolis following Tuesday's victory over Toronto the Pacers appeared to be out of gas.
Atlanta surrendered just 12 points in the first half, took a 19-point lead at halftime and held on to end a three-game losing streak. The Pacers lost for only the seventh time in 35 outings this year, still the fewest number of setbacks in the NBA.
Korver made 6-of-8 from the field and scored 17 points. Pero Antic had 16 for the Hawks, both Mike Scott and Jeff Teague pitched in 15 and DeMarre Carroll had 11.
Lance Stephenson was unable to play for the Pacers due to a knee injury he suffered on Tuesday. Paul George scored 28 points and seized 12 rebounds for Indiana.
