NBA: Indiana 82, Cleveland 78

CLEVELAND, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Paul George and Roy Hibbert combined for 31 points Sunday, helping the Indiana Pacers hold off Cleveland 82-78 for a ninth straight win over the Cavaliers.

George had six assists to go with his 16 points and Hibbert added 15 points and six rebounds as the Pacers extended their recent dominance of Cleveland, claiming a seventh win in eight games overall.

David West (11 points, seven rebounds), Lance Stephenson and Danny Granger (10 points each) also reached double figures.

C.J. Miles scored 21 points for the Cavaliers, who fell for the eighth time in nine contests overall. Tristan Thompson added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Dion Waiters put in 14 points for Cleveland, which was playing without leading scorer Kyrie Irving (left knee contusion).
