DALLAS, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Ben Smith scored in the 11th round of the shootout Friday to bring Chicago a marathon, 2-1 victory over Dallas.

After both teams came up with a goal in the fourth round, 16 consecutive shooters were stopped by Chicago's Corey Crawford and Dallas' Kari Lehtonen.

Smith then put a wrist shot over Lehtonen's glove to bring Chicago its fifth straight win.

Patrick Sharp scored Chicago's only regulation goal to tie it midway through the third period.

Crawford made 28 saves while Lehtonen stopped 25 shots.
