MLB: Colorado 8, Boston 3

DENVER, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Michael Cuddyer and DJ LeMahieu had two RBI apiece Tuesday in the Colorado Rockies' 8-3 win over the playoff-bound Boston Red Sox.

Colorado also had solo home runs from Troy Tulowitzki, Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson.

The Rockies banged out 11 hits in the game and roughed up Red Sox starter John Lackey (10-13) for four runs on six hits in six innings.

Tyler Chatwood (8-5) earned the victory by allowing one unearned run on three hits over seven innings. Colorado had lost four of their previous six starts.

Jarros Saltamacchia had a two-run home run for the Red Sox, who had won three of their last four games and were playing to secure home field advantage in the post season.

Boston was held scoreless until the seventh inning when Jackie Bradley scored on a fielding home run by Chatwood to make it 4-1. The Rockies responded in the bottom of the seventh with four runs to make it 8-1.
