CARSON, Calif., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Erick Torres scored the game's only goal in the 51st minute Sunday, handing Chivas USA a 1-0 win over D.C. United.
On the play, Torres got control of a loose ball in front of the net and skipped it over the outstretched hand of United goalkeeper Bill Hamid, providing all the offense the Goats (6-15-7) would need in a meeting of last-place teams.
