MOSCOW, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Usain Bolt tied a gold medal record and the Jamaican men and women continued their sprint dominance Sunday at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow.
Bolt anchored the Jamaican men's 4x100 team to the gold medal shortly after Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce ran the final leg in the Jamaican women's winning 4x100 relay.
Fraser-Pryce earlier in the meet won the women's 100 and 200.
Bolt matched that in the final race of the 2013 world championships by completing his fourth triple sprint gold series. He won the 100 and 200 and was on the winning 4x100 relay team in the Olympics in 2008 and '12 and the 2009 world championships.

The Jamaican men -- Nesta Carter, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Nickel Ashmeade and Bolt -- finished in a 2013-best 37.36 seconds Sunday with the United States second at 37.66 and the team from Great Britain and Northern Ireland taking third at 37.80.
Sunday's win marked Bolt's eighth overall world championship gold, tying the record owned by Americans Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson. Bolt, who turns 27 Wednesday, won the 100 Aug. 11 and took the 200 Saturday, both by solid margins.
The Jamaican women won their 4x100 relay in a championship record 41.29 seconds, finishing a relatively huge distance ahead of silver medalist France (42.73) with the United States (42.75) right behind French for the bronze medal.
Carrie Russell started the race for Jamaica with Kerron Stewart and Schillonie Calvert taking the middle two legs before handing off to Fraser-Pryce as the anchor. Stewart, Calvert and Fraser-Pryce were on Jamaica's silver-medal 4x100 team at last year's Olympics.
Kenya's Asbel Kiprop defended his 2011 world championship in winning the men's 1,500 in 3 minutes, 36.28 seconds. U.S. runner Matthew Centrowitz Jr. was second in 3:36.78 and South Africa's Johan Cronje claimed the bronze medal at 3:36.83.
Eunice Jepkoech, another Kenyan, dethroned a world champion and Olympics champion when she won the women's 800. Russia's Mariya Savinova had won the event in the last two major outdoor meets but Jepkoech turned in a time of 1:57.38 to beat Savinova by 0.42 seconds. Brenda Martinez of the United States took third at 1:57.91.
French jumper Teddy Tamgho won the men's triple jump with a final attempt of 18.04 meters (59.19 feet). He had been tied with Cuba's Pedro Pablo Pichardo, whose leap of 17.68 held for up the silver medal. The bronze went to Will Claye of the United States at 17.19.
Germany's Cristina Obergfoll won the gold medal in the women's javelin with a toss of 69.05 meters (226.54 feet). She made that distance on her second attempt Sunday and it was more than 4.5 meters farther than any of her other throws. Australia's Kimberley Mickle was second at 66.60 and Russia's Maria Abakumova, the 2011 world champion, was third at 65.09.
Russia ended up with the most gold medals (seven) at the 2013 World Championships. The United States had six gold, 13 silver and six bronze for a meet-leading total of 25 medals overall.
Russia totaled 17 medals (seven gold, four silver, six bronze). Kenya had the third-most medals (five gold, four silver and three bronze).
Jamaica's Bolt and Fraser-Pryce together tied the United States with six gold medals, the second-most firsts in the championships.
