PHILADELPHIA, July 14 (UPI) -- Michael Young's run-scoring single in the 13th inning Saturday gave Philadelphia a 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox in Game 2 of a doubleheader.
Humberto Quintero led off the 13th with a walk from Simon Castro (0-1) and was eliminated at second when Jimmy Rollins hit into a fielder's choice.
Pitcher Joe Savery (2-0) then laid down a sacrifice bunt, sending Rollins to second, and Young's single to shallow right field sent him home with the game-winning run, earning the Phillies an interleague double-header split.
Philadelphia lost the first contest 5-4 in 11 frames.
John Mayberry provided the Phillies' only other run with a score-tying solo homer in the seventh.
Gordon Beckham's sacrifice fly in the fifth gave the White Sox their only run in the contest.
