PHILADELPHIA, July 2 (UPI) -- High-scoring free agent center Vincent Lecavalier and the Philadelphia Flyers have agreed on a multiyear contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but multiple reports indicated it is for $22 million over five years, with an average annual value of $4.5 million.

The 33-year-old Lecavalier has spent his entire 14-year career with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and is the team's all-time leading goal-scorer with 383 tallies.

He also is the Bolts' all-time franchise leader in games played with 1,037 and is second in points (874).

Tampa Bay, however, bought out his contract last week after Lecavalier netted just 10 goals and notched 22 assists for 33 points over 39 games during the lockout-shortened 2013 season.
