HOUSTON, June 30 (UPI) -- Josh Hamilton put Los Angeles ahead with an eighth-inning RBI double and C.J. Wilson delivered a strong start Sunday in the Angels' 3-1 win over Houston.
With the score tied 1-1 in the eighth, Howie Kendrick reached Jose Cisnero (2-1) for a lead-off single.
After Albert Pujols struck out, Hamilton laced a 2-2 pitch to the base of the wall in left-center field as Kendrick easily scored the go-ahead run.
Hamilton followed him home when the relay throw from Astros shortstop Jake Elmore skipped past catcher Carlos Corporan for an error.
Wilson (8-5) struck out 10 over seven innings, surrendering just one unearned run on three hits for his fourth victory in four starts. The left-hander issued three walks as Los Angeles completed a three-game sweep of last-place Houston.
Mark Trumbo socked a solo homer in the victory.
Astros starter Lucas Harrell pitched well in a no-decision, limiting the Angels to one run on six hits over seven full frames.
