PHOENIX, June 19 (UPI) --
Paul Goldschmidt homered in the bottom of the ninth Tuesday to lift the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 3-2 win over the Miami Marlins.
Goldschmidt sent the second pitch from Chad Qualls (2-1) over the center field wall to break a 2-2 tie and end the Diamondbacks' four-game losing streak.
David Hernandez (3-4) was handed the win for working a perfect top of the ninth in relief of Randall Delgado. Martin Prado had a game-tying two-run homer in the fourth inning.
Miami took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth on an RBI triple by Derek Dietrich followed by a single from Adeiny Hechavarria.
