MLB: Cleveland 10, Philadelphia 4

PHILADELPHIA, May 15 (UPI) -- Jason Kipnis had three hits, scored three runs and drove in three Wednesday in the Cleveland Indians' 10-4 interleague win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Kipnis scored the game's first run when the Indians had a two-run third inning, scored on Nick Swisher's home run in the fifth and put the Indians up 10-3 with a three-run home run in the eighth.

Mike Aviles added a solo home run while Asdrubal Cabrera, Swisher and Mark Reynolds each drove in a pair of runs for Cleveland.

Corey Kluber (3-2) took advantage of the offensive support to get to the win. He allowed three runs and six hits but no walks and five strike outs over six innings.

Cleveland battered Philadelphia starter Cole Hamels (1-6) for five runs -- all earned -- and six hits over five innings.

The Phillies has eight hits -- two each by four players. Jimmy Rollins drove in three runs, with two coming on a double in the fifth inning that pulled Philadelphia within 5-3.
