MARRAKECH, Morocco, April 28 (UPI) -- Italy's Francesca Schiavone cruised to her first title of the year Sunday, dispatching Lourdes Dominguez Lino in the final of the Moroccan Grand Prix.
The sixth-seeded Schiavone posted a 6-1, 6-3 decision over Dominguez Lino, claiming her sixth career WTA Tour title and first since May 2012 at Strasbourg.

The veteran shook off a rough first part of the year en route to the victory. She had logged a 5-8 record coming into the Marrakech event but didn't lose a set in Morocco.
Dominguez Lino, meanwhile, fell to 2-3 all-time in finals.
Both of the Spaniard's wins have come at Bogota, in 2006 and 2011.
