PITTSBURGH, April 13 (UPI) -- Starling Marte put Pittsburgh ahead with a fifth-inning RBI single Saturday and the Pirates went on to best Cincinnati 3-1.

Jose Tabata and Garrett Jones each delivered a run-scoring double for the Bucs, who clinched their three-game home series with a fourth win in five contests overall.

Jeff Locke (1-1) overcame wildness to record the victory. He issued four walks and failed to record a strikeout but yielded only a pair of hits over five innings.

Justin Wilson, Jared Hughes and Mark Melancon combined for three innings of shutout relief and Jason Grilli pitched the ninth for his fifth save.

Cincinnati's Alfredo Simon (0-1) took the loss in relief of starter Johnny Cueto, who allowed one run over 4 1/3 innings.

Zack Cozart homered as the Reds dropped a fourth straight.
