NBA: San Antonio 108, Sacramento 101

SAN ANTONIO, April 12 (UPI) -- Tony Parker returned to action after a two-game absence Friday and produced 22 points to send San Antonio to a 108-101 win over Sacramento.

The Spurs continued to put heat on Oklahoma City in the battle for the best record in the Western Conference, having started the evening a half game behind the Thunder.

Tim Duncan had 18 points and Kawhi Leonard scored 15 for the Spurs, who began the final period with a 10-point advantage. That lead did not dwindle below 10 points until the closing minute.

Sacramento, which has lost five out of six, was paced by 19 points and 12 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins.

The Spurs need to win two of their last three games to get to 60 victories for the fifth time in the history of the franchise. San Antonio swept the season series from the Kings, having done so for the fourth time in the last five years.
