Andrew McCutchen doubled home Pittsburgh's first run in the fourth and scored later in the inning when Gaby Sanchez reached on a fielding error by shortstop Starlin Castro.
Starling Marte singled in the final run of the game in the seventh.
The loss went to Edwin Jackson, who gave up two runs over five innings.
