NBA: Cleveland 104, Detroit 97

CLEVELAND, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Detroit's Brandon Knight drained five 3-pointers en route to 30 points Saturday and the Pistons kept Cleveland reeling with a 104-97 victory over the Cavaliers.

Knight sparked a second-half surge, scoring 23 of his points after halftime as the Pistons broke a two-game losing streak.

Also scoring in double figures for Detroit were Tayshaun Prince (14 points), Rodney Stuckey and Jason Maxiell (10 apiece).

Cleveland, meanwhile, continued its free-fall, losing for the ninth time in 10 contests.

Jeremy Pargo led the Cavs with 24 points, while Anderson Varejao contributed 16 points and 13 rebounds.
