NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Anthony Davis produced the best game of his brief career Friday in lifting New Orleans to a 107-99 victory over Charlotte.
Davis, the top pick in this year's draft, returned to the lineup after missing two games with a concussion. He scored 23 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked five shots against the Bobcats.
Austin Rivers, another New Orleans rookie, had also sat out one game with a sprained finger. He had four points and four rebounds in his return. Ryan Anderson led New Orleans in scoring with 25 points while hitting five 3-pointers.
New Orleans had a 9-point lead to start the fourth quarter and it never slipped below six the rest of the way. Charlotte has lost three in a row after winning its season opener against Indiana.
Ben Gordon led the Bobcats with 34 points.
