WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Jason Terry sank two clutch foul shots with 1.2 seconds left in the game Saturday, ensuring the Boston Celtics' 89-86 victory over Washington.

Paul Pierce provided 27 points and seven rebounds for the Celtics, who logged their first victory after opening the season with two losses.

Kevin Garnett sparked Boston with 15 points with seven boards and Rajon Rondo supplied 12 points and 12 assists.

The Wizards dropped their 2012-13 home opener despite 21 points from Jordan Crawford.

Kevin Seraphin added 19 points and seven rebounds for Washington.
