Forte likely to play against Dallas

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The Chicago Bears said Wednesday running back Matt Forte went through a full workout Wednesday after missing last week's win over St. Louis.

Forte is expected to be ready for Chicago's a Monday night encounter with the Dallas Cowboys.

He was out of action against the Rams due to a right ankle sprain suffered the week before in a setback to the Green Bay Packers.

"It wasn't a very long practice, so I just wanted to see how I felt today," Forte said. "I went through all the routes and everything. I can sprint, so I think I'll be good to go."

This is Forte's fifth NFL season, all of them spent with the Bears, and he signed a four-year deal prior to the start of the 2012 campaign.

He ran for 111 yards and a touchdown in his two games prior to being injured this year. Forte picked up 997 rushing yards last season and has 4,344 for his career.
