MLS: New York 3, Columbus 1

HARRISON, N.J., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Thierry Henry scored two goals and assisted on a third Saturday, sending Red Bull New York to a 3-1 decision over Columbus.

After spotting the Crew an early 1-0 lead, New York quickly rebounded with Henry notching the equalizer in the 9th minute. On the play, the streaking Frenchman received a precise pass from Rafael Marquez and scored on a low shot.

He set up Dax McCarthy's go-ahead tally in the 79th minute and then added another score in stoppage time, curling in a shot directly off a corner kick.

New York (14-7-8) kept its undefeated record at home intact with the win, moving to within two points of Eastern Conference-leading Kansas City with the victory.

Milovan Mirosevic scored for the Crew (12-10-7), who dropped their second straight.
