FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Dimitry Imbongo put New England in front in the 53rd minute Wednesday and the Revolution went on to down Columbus 2-0.
New England ended a 10-game winless streak, claiming victory for the seventh time in 28 games this season. Columbus had won four in a row.

The Revolution benefited from an own goal by Chad Marshall in the 74th minute. Matt Reis produced the shutout for New England.
Columbus (12-9-6) missed a chance to move into fourth place by itself in the Eastern Conference. The Crew remained tied with Houston for the fourth spot at 42 points -- one in front of D.C. United.
New England (7-14-7) is 14 points out of a playoff position.
