ATLANTA, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Miami's Wade LeBlanc and Carlos Zambrano combined for six effective innings Tuesday and the Marlins stifled Atlanta 4-1.
LeBlanc, who replaced Zambrano in Miami's starting rotation, went the first 4 1/3 innings, surrendering one run on five hits while walking one and striking out three.
Zambrano (6-9) replaced him in the fifth and held the Braves to a run over 1 2/3 frames to collect the victory.
Carlos Lee, Greg Dobbs and Brayan Peterson each supplied RBI singles in the first inning to stake Miami to a quick 3-0 lead and LeBlanc added a run-scoring double to cap the Marlins' scoring.
Miami, which had lost the first two games of its four-game series with Atlanta, broke the Braves' seven-game winning streak.
Ben Sheets (3-1) was saddled with his first setback since joining Atlanta, surrendering four runs (three earned) on 11 hits over 6 2/3 frames.
Dan Uggla and Paul Janish provided RBI for Atlanta.
