CHICAGO, July 27 (UPI) -- An emotional week for the family of Ron Santo will end this weekend, with the late Chicago Cubs player being honored both on and off the field.

On Sunday, Santo was formally inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

In a ceremony before Friday afternoon's game against the Cardinals, the family will be present to mark Santo's induction into the Hall of Fame, reported the Chicago Tribune. The grass at Wrigley Field has been mowed to show Santo's No. 10 logo. Manager Dale Szeum may lead the players in a tribute, with a mass heel-kicking first seen last week.

On Saturday, a documentary directed by Jeff Santo about his dad, "This Old Cub," will be shown at the Arcadia Theater in St. Charles. The film has been updated with footage from Santo's funeral, a 2011 unveiling of Santo's statue, and announcements about him being named to the Hall of Fame, all to a soundtrack by Eddie Vedder.
