Report: Titans' Britt facing DUI charge

NASHVILLE, July 20 (UPI) -- Troubled Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, WGFX-FM, Nashville, reported Friday.

The radio station said the 23-year-old player, who has had multiple run-ins with the law, was arrested at Fort Campbell Military Base.

The (Nashville) Tennessean reported the NFL club said in a statement it is aware of the incident and "in the process of gathering more facts."

The newspaper said Britt has had a total of seven incidents with police since he was drafted.

Britt is recovering from surgery on his left knee. The Tennessean he had the operation following the Titans' minicamp at the end of June.

He tore his right ACL and MCL last September and had a cleanup operation on that knee in May.

Britt has 101 catches for 1,765 yards and 15 touchdowns in 31 games over three seasons with Tennessee. He was a first-round pick out of Rutgers in 2009.
