MADISON, Miss., July 19 (UPI) -- Jason Bohn shot an 8-under 64 Thursday and had the lead at the True South Classic when play was halted by heavy rain.

None of the afternoon starters could complete play at the Annandale Golf Club before the thunderstorms swept through the area.

Bohn, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, turned in a 5-under 31 on the back nine and had a one-shot lead over Luke Guthrie.

This is only the third start on the tour for Guthrie, who finished with a 64 last week at the John Deere Classic and wound up in a tie for fifth.

J.J. Killeen, Steve Lowery, Ryuji Imada, Jason Gore and Willie Wood shared third place at 66.

The best round in progress when play was stopped had been put together by defending champion Chris Kirk. He played the first seven holes in 4-under.

Bohn's best finish this year has been a tie for ninth at the Byron Nelson Championship. He has made the cut just eight times in his 19 previous appearances.
