
BALTIMORE, June 23 (UPI) -- Edwin Jackson pitched 6 1/3 solid innings Saturday and the Washington bullpen blanked Baltimore in the Nationals' 3-1 interleague win over the Orioles.
Jackson (4-4) limited the O's to one run on four hits over 6 1/3 innings, taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning. The right-hander allowed four hits and one walk while fanning five.
Michael Gonzalez worked out of a two-on, one-out jam in the seventh, Sean Burnett tossed a scoreless eighth and Tyler Clipped nailed down his 12th save for National League East-leading Washington.
Adam LaRoche homered and Xavier Nady added an RBI for the Nationals, who evened their three-game rivalry series with Baltimore.
Wei-Yin Chen (7-3) took the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits in a five-inning effort.
Adam Jones homered for the Orioles, who came into the game trailing the AL East-leading New York Yankees by 1 1/2 games.
