MLB: Chicago White Sox 12, Cleveland 6

CHICAGO, May 27 (UPI) -- Chicago's Paul Konerko homered and drove in four runs to lead a 15-hit attack Sunday that powered the White Sox to a 12-6 sweep of Cleveland.

Konerko's three-run clout in the fourth inning broke a 4-4 tie and put the White Sox ahead to stay, while Gordon Beckham went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and Alexei Ramirez added three hits and two RBI in the victory.

Dayan Viciedo chipped in with a two-run single and Alejandro De Aza went 2-for-4 with and RBI triple for Chicago, which completed a three-game sweep of the first-place Indians and pulled to with one-half game of the Tribe atop the American League Central.

Gavin Floyd (4-5) collected the victory despite yielding five runs on 10 hits over five innings.

Cleveland starter Ubaldo Jimenez (5-4) was pounded for seven runs on seven hits before being yanked after just four full innings.

Johnny Damon knocked a three-run homer for the Indians.
