MLS: Chicago 2, FC Dallas 1

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., May 23 (UPI) -- Marco Pappa scored off a penalty kick rebound in the 63rd minute Wednesday to boost the Chicago Fire past Dallas 2-1.

Chicago gave up the first goal of the game, but rallied to run the Dallas winless streak to eight contests.

The Fire won at home against Dallas for the first time since Chicago began playing at Toyota Park. Dallas had a 5-0-1 record against Chicago in that stadium prior to Wednesday.

Matt Hedges gave Dallas the lead in the 41st minute, but Sebastian Grazzini tied it just before intermission.

Chicago was given a penalty kick when Carlos Rodriguez hit Pappa from behind. Grazzini took the kick only to have his effort stopped by goalkeeper Kevin Hartman. The rebound, however, went right to Pappa and he put in the game-winner.

Chicago improved to 5-3-3 and moved to within four points of third-place Kansas City in the Eastern Conference. Dallas fell to 3-7-4.
