DETROIT, April 20 (UPI) -- Steady rains and the prospect of more bad weather throughout the evening Friday forced postponement of the scheduled game between Detroit and Texas.
The teams will play a day-night doubleheader Saturday to make up for the rainout. The first game will begin at 1:05 p.m. EDT and the evening contest was set for 7:05 p.m.

Texas won the opener of the four-game series Thursday 10-3. The Rangers have won seven in a row and their 11-2 record is the best in baseball. They have the best team batting average in the majors and the second-best team ERA.
Matt Harrison and Neftali Feliz were expected to pitch for the Rangers Saturday. Rick Porcello and Justin Verlander were the probable pitchers for Detroit.
