The Goats defended their lead the rest of the way, but Toronto put on some late pressure.
Eric Avila nearly set up Ryan Johnson for the equalizer with a right-wing cross that Johnson got a head on but missed by inches.
TFC (0-5-0) set a team record by losing for a fifth straight time -- the worst start to a season in franchise history.
