TORONTO, March 27 (UPI) -- Cam Ward recorded his fifth shutout of the season and Jussi Jokinen logged a goal and an assist Tuesday in the Carolina Hurricanes' 3-0 whitewash of Toronto.

Ward stopped all 32 shots he saw for the Hurricanes, who collected their fifth win in seven contests.

Jay Harrison and Tim Brent also scored for Carolina.

The Maple Leafs, who have lost seven of their last 10 games, started Jonas Gustavsson in goal but he was pulled after yielding three goals on 12 shots. Jussi Rynnas came in and turned side all 10 shots he faced.
